21st March
Lots of news today, so lets get on with it. Richard will be appearing on Jonathan Ross' legendary BBC Radio 2 show here in the UK this Satuday (22.03.2003). The show runs from 10am-1pm (GMT) but we expect he'll be on around mid-day. He'll be playing a track from his current album 'Lowedges' acoustically and having a bit of a chat. Those of you overseas, or listening over the internet should be able to listen via Radio 2's website.

Hawley plays the Royal Albert Hall on Monday (24.03.2003) as special guest to Coldplay, The show is in aid of Roger Daltrey's Cancer charity. Coldplay asked Richard to play the show after they had got in the habit of playing his song "Baby You're My Light" during their sound checks whilst touring last year.

Chris Morris of 'The Day Today', 'Blue Jam', 'Brass Eye' fame has made a short film called 'My Wrongs'. The film features Richard's 'The Night's Are Cold' from 'Late Night Final' on the closing titles (there is no other music on the film). He chose the music as Hawley is one of his favourite turns and this is his favourite song (he can be seen at most of his London shows for all you star spotters out there). The film was awarded the prestigious prize of best short film at this year's BAFTA's (the British Oscars) and is available on Warp Films via their website shop.

+++TOUR CANCELLED
+++
Richard Hawley has had to cancel his March UK tour at the 11th hour due to the re-occurance of a bone problem.

The rare bone disorder which affects his finger has been operated on twice but has flared up once again, as it did last year when he was forced to pull out of shows with Coldplay.   He will seek immediate medical advice on it and major problems are not anticipated in the medium and long term.

We hope to re-schedule shows in the coming months.   Richard and everyone would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this will cause.

In the meantime we do have something to keep you going, click the link to take you to a 30 min acoustic gig and a 5 min video of a recent gig in Amsterdam @ Club Lek for VPRO radio on 26/2/03. click here (real player needed).
